Research projects

A MultiCenterStudy on Regenerative Effects of low-dose Erythropoietin (LDE) in Burn and Scald Injuries  (BMBF)
I
n Co-operation with the Technische Universität München, Klinikum rechts der Isar

Aims of the project

As part of the clinical study  which will investigate the supporting wound regeneration after serious burns caused by EPO, tissue samples will be analyzed using histological, molecular biological and protein chemical methods.

Tissue Engineering of a dermal aquivalent with induced micro vascularisation using adult stem cells   (BMBF)

Aims of the project

The  project in the area of skin replacement is concentrated on  the issue of colonizing behaviour of various skin cells on various membranes in static cultures and also in bioreactor cultures. The analysis of the matrices cultivated with cells was carried out by examining the metabolism and with the aid of imaging techniques to quantify vitality. Here the aim is to cultivate a reproducible skin equivalent on different 3D-polymers.
