The project focuses on cell culture models of
oxidative stress (primary cardiomyocytes,
epithelial cell and THP1). I use LC-MS/MS
techniques to identify oxidized lipids and
lipid-protein adducts in cellular extracts.
Using complimentary techniques (fluorescent
microscopy and biochemical assays) I am going to
study how oxidation can cause changes in
cellular localization and functions of target
lipids and protein.
