Role of drugs in catecholaminergic modulation of cognition and behaviour

Pharmacological fMRI studies are powerful tools for studying the involvement of different neurotransmitters in anatomical and functional connectivity of neurocircuits that regulate attentional and cognitive processes like working memory and learning as well as behavioural adaptive executive functions like decision making in humans. In experimental animal studies and in clinical studies, we area project partner of working groups at the University of Cambridge focussing on the role of variable drug concentrations on the modulation of neuronal signalling in probands and patients.
