Spatialities of Food: The Urban Case of Cairo

Overview

This workshop will bring together scholars and practitioners from different parts of the world and from different disciplines to investigate the dynamics of the food system in Cairo, Egypt. All invited participants conducted field research in Egypt or are professionally involved in this field. The purpose of the workshop is to benefit from this expertise and to foster research exchange and cooperation. Special emphasis will be given to recent developments in Cairo’s food system since the Arab Spring.
