Sorption equilibria of gases and mixtures on porous solids can
characterized with the measurement of the electric capacity of a with
sorbent filled condenser. The electrical capacity is a function of the
frequency,
of the physicochemical properties of the sorbent and of the dipolar
character of the sorptiv molecules.
Because of this phenomena a sensor was developed. With this sensor it
is possible to measure online the working capacity and
the status of loading of technical adsorbens in plants.
