Closing Roundtable “Global History, Looking to the Future”

Participants:

Sandrine Kott (University of Geneva)

Jan Melissen (Leiden Universiy)

Elisabeth Leake (Tufts University)

Seung Hwan Ryu (Free University Berlin)

As the conference traces the intersections of global history with different disciplines, methods and approaches, our final roundtable draws the discussions of the last days together and discusses the variety of possible formats and outlets for our work going forward. Leading experts from different disciplines will convene to reflect on the changing contours of the field, as well as providing insights into how the field of publishing is evolving. This roundtable will offer a chance for authors to consider new ways, places and approaches to publishing their work and help to outline the changing horizon of the field of global history. The discussion will include a Q&A to allow early career researchers in particular, to engage with senior experts in these interconnected fields.

Moderator: Anne-Isabelle Richard (Leiden University)
