Biographical Note
Dr. Fabien Jobard (Centre Marc Bloch & Humboldt University Berlin, Germany)
Fabien Jobard is a scholar at the Marc Bloch Centre in Berlin and the Humboldt University of Berlin. His fields of research revolve around sociology of the police, including criminal law and resistance against police violence. He earned his doctorate from the Paris Institute of Political Studies for his dissertation addressing the use of violence by the French police. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Center for Sociological Research on Law and Criminal Justice Institutions (CESDIP), which he headed from 2010 to 2014.
