Write Your PhD Thesis Efficiently. From Unstructured Ideas to an Organised Text

Martha Boeglin (Scriptoria)

Abstract

This writing workshop is particularly helpful for researchers in the humanities and social sciences: you will further advance your writing strategies and skills to master the highly complex writing process of a PhD thesis individually and effectively. The workshop is project-based: you will work on your own research project; step by step, you will elaborate your own texts. This writing workshop is designed to help you step by step through the process of writing and structuring your individual thesis. Specific exercises will support the process of organising your work and getting your thoughts down on paper; revision techniques will help you to improve the quality of your writing. Peer review – a crucial part of the writing process – will help to strength the writing of both reviewers and writers.
