Socialist Development Models for the “Third World”

This project examines the intentions and practices of economic relations between European Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA) countries and countries of the Global South as well as the related transfer of the socialist development model. The project focuses on the changes in this model, resulting from the crisis of extensive economic growth in the European CMEA countries, the specific conditions in the countries of Africa and Asia, and the intensifying global entanglements in the 1970s.
