Abstract

We have measured the energy dissipation dQ/dt due to Landau domain movement in two
aluminium samples of different geometries after a sweep of an external field from Ba > Bc to
Ba = 0 at different temperatures. We found a time dependent heat release d Q/dt µ t-a with 1 < a < 2 depending on the sample geometry. The time dependence is independent of temper ature and sweep rate. Our observations indicate that this relaxation might be due to quantum creep of Landau domains.
