Nathan Hill (SOAS) is the international co-investigator on the UK side, currently based at Trinity College, Dublin. He is a leading historical linguist and scholar of Tibetan, Burmese, Chinese, and other languages. He led the AHRC-funded project Tibetan in Digital Communication (2012–15), which built the first PoS-tagged corpus of classical Tibetan, and was a PI on the ERC Synergy project “Asia Beyond Boundaries” (2014–2020). Nathan oversees corpus design and the development of NLP tools.
