The conference on "France and Beyond" which is co-organized by the George Rudé Society and the Society for French Historical Studies will be held virtually due to the current situation caused by the pandemic. The conference programme – originally planned to be held during three days in Auckland, New Zealand – will be divided across four weeks in July. There will be live keynotes with cocktail-style virtual gatherings afterwards and different event formats that mix pre-recorded presentations and live discussions. Some of these events will be recorded for those who cannot attend in the specific time slot.
