Prospects for your own research and career planning through commercial exploitation

DECEMBER,  2, 2021 ||| The innovation cluster Smart Medical Devices and Therapies of biosaxony e.V. and the Transfer Centre for Bioactive Matter of the University of Leipzig present themselves on the occasion of the Dies academicus and show what potential the university and regional research landscape offers and how this can be made usable for the regional economy.

In order to address the major issues of the future, such as increasing resource scarcity, basic planetary security or medical care, economic cycles must be completely rethought and realigned. This requires innovative research that enables the development of environmentally compatible, sustainable and smart materials, methods and technologies.

But how can innovative research be transferred into sustainable economic sectors? How can scientific expertise be utilised for personalised, smart medical products and therapies?
And what opportunities does this open up for personal research work and career planning?

Speakers
Dr Susanne Ebitsch (Managing Director of the Centre for Bioactive Matter b-ACTmatter, University of Leipzig) and André Hofmann (Managing Director of biosaxony e. V.)
