Our research focus
Core technologies for design and synthesis of active materials are continueously developed and expanded to be used in new active matter applications.
Current topics involve:
- nanoparticle synthesis for plasmonic sensing
- microfluidic synthesis of hydrogel microparticles
- responsive (bio-)polymers for nanovalves
- 3D biopolymer scaffolds for tissue engineering and biomedical cell culture and diagnostics
- structured and functional biopolymer scaffolds for microbial systems
