Woman Power at Research and Transfer Center b-ACT matter
Biotechnologist Subhashini Singh will be funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK ) from mid-January via the EXIST-Women start-up programme.
The funding includes a 3-month scholarship and a programme of events, advice and support for one year.
Biochemical Colloquium
On 23 January 2024 the Faculty of Life Sciences at Leipzig University and b-ACT^matter jointly invites you to the next lecture of the Biochemical Colloquium. The topic of Dr Bin Lai’s lecture is “The electro-biotechnology for biosynthesis of chemicals and fuels”.
Dr Bin Lai is BMBF junior research group leader for biophotovoltaics in the Department of Environmental Microbiology at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research GmbH – UFZ Leipzig.
Plastics meets medical technology
From January 31 to February 1, 2024, the networking event “Plastics Meets Medical Technology” of the Plastics Center will take place in Leipzig.
The series of events offers an interface between plastics and medical technology, where experts from both sectors can meet and share their expertise on innovative approaches and tried-and-tested experiences.
As part of the event, Dr. Susanne Ebitsch, Executive Director of b-ACT matter, will give a presentation at the BBZ.
Circular economy in focus
As part of the #Circular_economy_in_focus! event, 18 representatives from Saxon research institutions presented their technologies for a sustainable circular economy. b-ACT^matter was there with the topics #DNA_Origami for novel biosensors, living hybrid systems / #photobioreactors for climate-neutral production of proteins for animal feed and polymers and enzymatic #plastic_recycling.
