In the sixth annual conference of the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) 1199: “Processes of Spatialization under the Global Condition”, we focus on how infrastructures are linked to processes of spatialization and the ways in which infrastructural projects produce particular spatial effects.

The SFB 1199, funded by the German Research Foundation for a second phase (2020–2023), is a collaborative research centre that examines modern history up to the present day, with a focus on the role of new spatializations in shaping social interactions and social change. The SFB is part of the Research Centre Global Dynamics (ReCentGlobe) at Leipzig University, where it profits from engagement with the many research fields and topics covered.
