Given that both national and international PhD candidates at the SFB 1199 arrive with a diverse set of skills, studies, and works – most importantly concerning concepts, theories, and methodologies – one of the aims of the offered seminars is to bring all members together to a common point of departure for their work. This base understanding helps to familiarize all participants with the Leipzig approach to global studies and the research concepts of the SFB.
