Tomasz Panecki, a research scientist (lecturer) at Warsaw University’s Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, has been contributing to the fields of cartography and historical geography since joining the university in October 2013. He holds a Master’s degree in Cartography and a Master’s degree in History, both from Warsaw University, as well as a Ph.D. in Cartography. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including cartographic visualization, historical spatial data, and the classification of old maps. Tomasz has also supervised numerous MSc. and BSc. students in their research endeavors and has published several scholarly articles, making valuable contributions to the field. His dedication to academic pursuits underscores his commitment to the advancement of knowledge in cartography and historical geography.
