Global History / Postcolonial StudiesStarting from an understanding of “socialism” as a plurality of specific projects of respatialization in the second half of the 20th century, this project investigates the circulations of socialist actors. Focusing on experts in rural development and anti-colonial activists, the project addresses the spatializing effect of their mobilities, which were motivated by a transregional political agenda. The project aims at clarifying how these actors – as spatial entrepreneurs – have contributed to the shaping of a postcolonial spatial order.
