Projektbereich B – Biologische Wirkprofile in Zellsystemen und aECM-gestützte Geweberegeneration

The project group B – Biological profiles – bundles projects with cell biological and preclinical orientation. One focus is the systematic characterization of matrix/cell interactions in complex systems. The focus is on cell types that enter into intensive matrix contacts during bone and skin regeneration, such as mesenchymal stem cells, osteoblasts, osteoclasts, osteocytes (TP B1, B2, B11), immunocompetent cells, keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblasts (TP B3, B4, B10).

Individual projects in Project Group B

Influence of artificial and native extracellular matrices on adhesion and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells and osteoblats

Effects of sulfated glycosaminoglycans on bone regeneration

Immune responses to native and artificial extracellular matrices

Impact of artificial extracellular matrix on fibroblast functions

In vivo- and ex vivo-investigation of the effects of artificial matrices on implant surfaces in long bones

In situ characterization of mediator controlled immune cell interaction in GAG-modified aECM

The role of the ECM during bone regeneration in zebrafish
